Tuesday, Marge 17th, the unluckiest day of the year!!!

Do any of you remember the cartoon, "Ren and Stimpy?" It was a big hit with our family in the 90's. Particularly with Den, since he is a huge cartoon fan. One particular episode features Ren, as the unlucky beast. He has to do all sorts of wild and crazy stuff to break the bad ju-ju. Shauna and Suzy have been waiting forever for March 17 to fall on a Tuesday, so that they could have fun with their Dad. They created a kit with everything he needs to celebrate the unluckiest day of the year.

Here is the display that Den woke up to on the unluckiest day of the year! Cinder-block possum hat, skunk shoes, garlic-filled underpants, an ample supply of leaches, pig intestines, a mix of baboon drool, owl pellets and putrified toad squeezings. And last but not least a lucky leper's foot...all to ward off bad Ju-Ju on the unluckiest day of the year, Marge the 17th!
Den truly is the unlucky beast!

We had a quick visit with Wendy and family this weekend when they came to Columbus for a wedding reception. We celebrated Riley's 7th birthday a day early.
We weren't it a big hurry to sing to Riley and cut the cake because Wendy and Austin had to leave. Apparently Den couldn't wait and this is what we found when we went to the table to sing.
Even though it was freezing and so windy, the kids wanted to take their obligatory visit to the alpacas.
