Happy Memorial Day!

No picnics or parties for us. Den took a test online and I did yard work.
Here's some random pictures of our yard.
The little quart-sized perennials I planted 4 years ago are starting to outgrow their spaces.
I can't wait every year for my delphiniums to bloom. They are spectacular!
This is probably the fifth big bouquet of peonies I have picked.

Big Top Birthday!!!

James turns 4 next week, but due to many scheduling conflicts, we celebrated yesterday, with an awesome circus themed party.
The kids were so excited to get their "prizes" for the games they played. Fair food was served and there was even cotton candy and funnel cakes. Dan and Shauna did a wonderful job of making this a memorable day.

My contribution was these clown cupcakes! Pat and Jean worked the food stand and Jim and many other adults helped with the games.

The party was a big hit for the kids and their parents.
Dan and Shauna even made a ticket booth that you can see on the left in front of the gate. The kids had to "pay" for the food and games with their tickets.
James waits to take his turn a "tin can alley."

A neighbor had this bouncy castle that was a big hit. There was also a fish pond, shooting gallery, and a ring toss.
I did face painting. James wanted one on each cheek. My talent paled in comparison to the caricature artist...who was amazing. It will be hard to top this one!!!

Mother's Day

Shauna hosted a Mother's Day brunch on Saturday.
Suzy, Spencer and Sydney were in town to attend the temple, how serendipitous.
Sydney is at the stage where she loves dogs and followed Lucy everywhere.
Spencer just finished up his 3rd year of dental school.
A nice surprise!!! Jacque and Steve were in town for a work seminar and got to spend a little time with us. It was great to see them again.
