My Dad's funeral.

Sadly, my Dad passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012. I flew out to New Mexico on New Year's Eve and the funeral was on the following Saturday.
He was a Korean war veteran and served in the New Mexico National Guard and Army Reserves, retiring as a major.
My brother Mike and his wife, Angie. We all shared anecdotes about Dad before the funeral and Angie said that the first time he met her, he asked her two questions. "Do you know how to make frybread? Do you know how to make Navajo taco?"
She said yes, and he said, "Good!" Welcome to the family, Angie!
 Checking out the headstone.

The pallbearers. Stephan, August, Mike Jr. August, Ryan, Jeff and Jarom and Christian.
The Wellings were out of town and let us stay all week at their beautiful home.

Christmas 2012 in Dayton

Spent Christmas in Dayton with Shauna's family, Dan's family and Jean, Jay and Melissa. Den had to work!

The boys were practicing shooting targets in the basement.
Ski helmets were the safety precaution.
Acting out the nativity story with finger puppets that Shauna made.
On Christmas morning, the big boys wait on the stairs until everyone is ready.

So many presents and so little time.
